This Privacy Policy explains how NR (YORK) LIMITED ("the Company") handles information in connection with the York Estate Android application (the "App"). The App is a local-first tool designed to help you structure and compare 2–4 residential property alternatives based on criteria you choose, and to view a ranked, trade-off focused summary.

This policy applies to your use of the App, which is available on the Android platform. The App is operated by the Company.

Local App Data

The App stores information locally on your device. This may include comparison boards, board and variant structure, user-entered criteria and their importance or weights, notes per variant and board, optional local photos attached to variants, front-runner markings, exported summaries, and settings preferences.

This local content is stored on the device and is not automatically transmitted to the Company as part of the core workflow. The App does not require login or account registration, does not use cloud synchronisation, and does not have backend storage. User-entered data remains on your device unless you choose to export or share it.

User-Initiated External Actions

The App may provide options for you to open external Android services, such as a browser, email client, or maps application, when you choose to do so. These actions are initiated by you and are not automatic. External services operate under their own privacy practices.

The App also allows you to export or share locally generated summaries through Android system actions, such as the share sheet or by attaching a file. This occurs only when you choose to export or share content.

What the App Does Not Include

The App does not provide payment or subscription functionality, and it does not include monetisation features. The App does not include login, account registration, cloud synchronisation, or backend storage.

Photos and Media

Where you choose to add optional local photos to property variants, these images are stored as local app content on your device. They are user-selected and are not automatically transmitted to the Company. The App does not imply automatic camera access or gallery scanning beyond your selection.

Deletion and Control

You can delete individual items within the App, such as a comparison board or a photo attachment, at any time. You can also clear all local data using the App's controls. Local app data can otherwise be removed through Android device settings or by uninstalling the application.

Use Limits

The App is a planning aid. It helps you structure property comparisons and does not provide valuation, legal, financial, survey, or regulatory advice. Results are based on your own entries and chosen priorities, using local comparison logic. Missing data is not fabricated and may be shown as "Not entered".

Data Retention

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, clear local app data, or uninstall the application. Exported files remain wherever you choose to save or share them.

Security

The Company takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your device and any files you export or share.

UK and EEA Data Rights

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area (EEA), you may have rights under applicable data protection legislation, including rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to restrict or object to processing, where applicable under law. Since the App stores data locally, you can usually manage or delete local data directly through the App or your device. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and above and is not directed to children under 13. The Company does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If the Company becomes aware that it has collected personal data from a child under 13, it will take reasonable steps to delete that information or address the situation.
